BJ started Advanced Research & Investigations, LLC in July 2003 while working full-time at another job. During her lunch hour, she would pick up process service documents from attorneys' offices. She would then serve them during her lunch break, after work, and on the weekends. There were times when the addresses were not current, and she proceeded to locate the current address and serve them. Her clients' needs continued to grow, and so did her business. She then went part-time at her current job, allowing her business to grow further. When Advanced Research & Investigations, LLC required more of her time than she had available, she was able to quit her other job and work full-time for herself. She realized that her past jobs had prepared her for this business.
